ATTENTION ALL FOLLOWERS OF DEPART OUT TEACHING

NEW UPDATE: If you are a follower of Harold Camping or a listener of Family Radio, please see the posting for 13 November 2009.

This posting is not a personal attack on any indiviaul; rather, it is intended to show the error of the “Depart Out” doctrine and it comes courtesy of Dr. Ken Matto.

Point #1.  According to the Depart Out teaching, the church age ended in 1994.  At that time Satan took his seat in the temple (i.e., the corporate church).

Point #2.  At this time the principal teacher espousing Depart Out was still a member of his local Church.  He remained a member until 2001.

For those who believe the teachings that the church age is over, please understand the ramifications of the two points above:  this means the origin of the “Depart Out” and “High Places” teachings in 1999 began under satanic origin since the Holy Spirit had fled from the church.

According to his own teaching, the most prominent Depart Our teacher was under God’s wrath while remaining in a church for 7 years.  According to his own doctrine, during this time he was under the authority of Satan.   One inescapable conclusion to be drawn from this – according to the logic of his own doctrine — is that the “Depart Out” theory is of satanic origin and must be rejected by God’s children.

His own teaching betrays him, particularly in the area of timing.  This teacher was under Satan’s authority for seven years.

Is it any wonder why so many Christians have fought this teaching? The Holy Spirit gives discernment to know the spirit of error and the spirit of truth.  He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

To God Be The Glory!

This is such a ridiculous article. In Revelation 18:4, God is specifically telling His people to come out of Babylon:

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

    Here’s another verse to consider:

“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.” Revelation 14:4

I believe the above verse is saying the wise virgins are not defiled with the foolish virgins who commit spiritual fornication. They follow Christ wherever He goes.

And afew more that spiritually relate:

“And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Matthew 24:1, 2

I believe the disciples following Christ for guidance apart from the temple is a spiritual picture that has happened during the first part of the great tribulation. Christ departed from the midst of the church congregations and His people didn’t know what was going on at that time, but look at the next verses:

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. ” Matthew 24:3-5

Look at where Christ is sitting (ruling) a mountain (similar language as Matthew 24:16). And what does His people do? They come to Christ alone and want to know what He says about these things just before the end of the world. How does God speak today? In the Bible. How do we receive truth now? In the Bible. How did Harold Camping do that? In the Bible. Notice that Christ then answered them and told them to take heed and not be deceived like the many. I believe that is a spiritual outline of the end of the church age in the Bible. To say that God’s Holy Spirit wasn’t guiding His already saved people to come out of the midst of Babylon is an argument that doesn’t hold water, i believe. God’s Holy Spirit didn’t leave His elect who are sealed and under grace, that’s why He commanded His people to “come out of her” in Revelation 18:4. If Christ isn’t in the midst of Babylon, why would those who have Christ indwelling within them want to remain in the midst where spirits of devils are ruling? When we understand this, Revelation 18:4 makes perfect sense, i believe. I think if Harold Camping had not eventually come out of Babylon as God revealed His truth to him, and if he had stayed in the midst and remained blind, that would’ve been an indication of not ever being saved and following satan (who has taken his seat (ruling) in the temple) not by fleeing the midst of Babylon and coming out of the churches. May the Lord lead us all to His truth. His will be done.

CORRECTION: The last part of my post should read:

“I think if Harold Camping had not eventually come out of Babylon as God revealed His truth to him, and if he hadn’t seen God’s revealed truth about the end of the church age and the command to come out in the Bible…”

Just wanted to add that i think the reason why Harold Camping didn’t come out right away is because it took time to see and understand the hidden truth of God’s Word all throughout the Bible after it had been unsealed at the time of the end, but now that we know what the truth is, we know to come out of Babylon. Knowledge has been increased just like Daniel 12:4 said:

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel 12:4

The saved will understand but *none* of the unsaved will understand:

“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. ” Daniel 12:9, 10

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” Matthew 24:15

Note the word “readeth” in the above verse. Reading the Bible is how we understand.

May the Lord’s will be done.

  3. Anna Says:

Sean, what you say makes sense. I do agree about the church age era thing, BUT i still don’t understand the prediction of 2011? I thought (somewhere in the bible, i can’t remember) God says noone knows the day or the hour, even the angels and the son…something like that…?

  4. Sean Says:

Hi Anna, if you go to http://www.ebiblefellowship.com and click on “Ebible Fellowship’s Audio” and then click on “Sunday Bible Message” and then click on the mp3 audio study titled “DOES JESUS KNOW THE DAY HE WILL RETURN?” that will answer your question in detail.

  5. Anna A Says:

    Dear Sean,
My prayers go with you. I believe in God’s remnant church in Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wrath with the woman (church) and went to make war with the REMNANT of her seed, which teach the commandements of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. God’s remnant church will be persecuted for keeping God’s commandments. No church other than the Seventh-Day Adventist church is teaching to keep ALL 10 commandments and teaching the spririt of prophesy Rev 19:10 and preaching like John the Baptist did who called everyone to repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Is only from doctrines of devils that anyone should set a date for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ which God never has or will reveal to us. I have learned so much from the “Remnant Church” and I’m blessed to know that I was blind but know I see. May our Lord Jesus open your eyes to see his true light. In Christ, Anna

  6. Will Says:

    And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or lo, He is there;

  7. Will Says:

    believe him not:, Mark 13:21

  8. mw Says:

Great article! We must oppose this error or face the inevitable results of confusion, chaos and despair. Throughout history false prophets have plagued the Church. Their reward is fitting.

  9. Martin Says:

the Bible prophesied that the local church would one day become the Babylon, the Bible is very clear about it if you read Revelation an Jeremy even Isaiah you will be shocked to know this sad truth, but most people will deny this fact, I think because most people that claim a relationship with Christ will not take the time to read the Bible and find out what is written.

  10. Susie Says:

Sean and Martin’s eyes have been opened… To those who are without (Dr. Ken Matto, Anna, MW & all other 2011 scoffers), all things are written in parables that seeing they don’t see. SAD but true. May God open their eyes to what the Holy Scripture is revealing.

The Mystery that is REVEALED near the end is that the Devil has sown many tares and God is sending forth his angels to separate the wheat from the congregations.

God is done with churches… Anna, that Includes the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The seventh day adventists are not “keeping the sabbath holy” because they are not resting in Christ’s Work alone to make Holy, instead they are doing work. Obedience to God’s Law is one thing , but works don’t save.

All churches today hold the doctrine of the NICOLAITINES which Jesus hates . That is, they have a clergy that RULES (NICO) over the Laity. Jesus is supposed to be our head, not a church leader, or preacher, not bro. Camping either. The Holy Spirit will lead the elect to all Truth through the Word. Whatever doctrine / teaching, always check it out in the Bible and don’t just rely on one verse. Compare scripture and pray for wisdom.

Church can’t save you, and right now The Man of Sin , son of perdition is in the holy place. Do as Jesus says and Flee! Mystery Babylon (the whore, not the Bride) rides the Beast….Come Out of her!

  11. Martin Says:

Babylon sitting in many waters Revelation 17:1,15
she once was the bride where the voice of bridegroom and bride was heard as well as works for God all was going to be taken from her spiritualy speaking Revelation 18:21-23 this woman is non other than the local church, and for those that question this fact, I suggest to really start reading God’s word for he is the one that left all this information for us to see, most “Christianity” today will read the bible in a literal senceand will not accept the fact that the Bible is a spiritual book that comes from God who inspired the writers,so they would write exactly as God intended it to be, the bible has to and must be interpreted not according to hermeniutics designed by man, but by the biblical rule which is comparing scriptures with scriptures.
