The purpose of today’s posting is to shine the light of truth on Halloween by passing along a few facts about this satanic holiday.
Halloween predates the time when the Lord Jesus came to earth. For the department stores, Halloween is the second most lucrative day of the year behind (not surprisngly) Christmas. Those who partake in Wicca (witchcraft) try to convince us that it’s an innocent day, but the reality is that it’s an evil, sinister day.
On October 31, Wiccans would assemble at a huge bonfire and place the victim in a wicker basket and then lower that basket over the fire killing their victim. As the smoke rose from the burning victims the Druid priests would foretell the future.
This is the meaning behind a bonfire. The word “bonfire” comes from an English 15th Century word meaning “Fire of Bones.” Isn’t it interesting how many churches have bonfires? Bonfires represent the murder of innocent people and yet churches still continue to sponsor them. If the Seminaries and Bible Colleges spent more time teaching their students about spiritual warfare rather than spiritual capitulation, maybe Satan wouldn’t receive nearly as much glory from the churches as the world gives him!
We believe Christians should have absolutely nothing to do with this day because the essence of Halloween represents an appeasement of the spirits coming back from the dead. Today’s trick-or-treating is the modern equivalent of that pacification.
